SOON was hired to reposition the kitchen, convert an existing bedroom to a primary bathroom, and add a modest addition to support new, much needed support spaces.  The new volume will provide a spacious mudroom/vestibule, pantry and gym on the main level.  A new primary bedroom suite is situated atop the new extension under a lofted ceiling.  All of these spaces will have windows privileging views of the gardens and forest surrounding the house.

To extend the living spaces in the warmer seasons, a generous wrap-around deck will provide a welcoming transition between the exterior and interior.  Serving multiple purposes, the porch will support dining, relaxing and space for washing a dirty dog.
